Disney Dreamlight Valley features several secret quests, but few are as rewarding or intricate as the multi-colored potato storyline. Completing this elaborate mystery allows players to unlock the vibrant Rainbow Fox companion to accompany them on their daily adventures. Understanding each step involved in gathering ingredients and crafting potions ensures a smooth path toward obtaining this exclusive pet.
Gathering the Mysterious Colored Potatoes
The journey toward unlocking the Rainbow Fox begins by acquiring six unique potatoes hidden across various realms and biomes. Each potato requires fulfilling specific conditions or finding secret items like emerald bottles and hidden pebbles scattered throughout the world. Collecting every required component demands careful observation and patience from dedicated adventurers.
Once players secure all six potatoes, they must convert each one into its corresponding colored potion using crafting stations or specialized recipes. These individual brews represent essential steps toward creating the final magical elixir required for the quest. Keeping these items organized in chest storage will prevent accidental loss during your crafting journey.
Crafting the Legendary Rainbow Potion
After successfully crafting all six individual colored potions, players can combine them at a crafting bench to forge the coveted Rainbow Potion. This powerful item serves as the ultimate key to bringing the statue back to life. Preparing this potion marks the transition into the final phase of the hidden storyline.
Before proceeding, players must ensure they have progressed sufficiently through the main story to access the Dark Castle realm. Having full access to this late-game area is mandatory for locating the final objective. Double checking your inventory before entering the portal will save valuable travel time.
Locating the Stone Fox in the Dark Castle
With the Rainbow Potion secured, venture directly into the Dark Castle through the main portal in the Plaza. Navigate through the castle interior until reaching the bedroom space tucked away to the right side. Inside this hidden chamber rests the frozen stone fox statue waiting to be awakened.
Interact with the stone statue and present the Rainbow Potion from your inventory to trigger the magical transformation. The statue will immediately transform into the glowing Rainbow Fox companion, adding it permanently to your collection. You can now equip your new pet from the companion menu and explore the valley together.
